FREEDOM

My work “Freedom” is a pastel painting sized 50×70 cm, created with pastels and pastel pencils on Pastelmat paper.

It depicts a running white horse with a saddle against a backdrop of heavenly blue sky and earthy brick-brown tones. The main idea of the painting is to convey the image of freedom through the dynamic and powerful portrayal of the horse. The horse, swiftly galloping forward, symbolizes energy, strength, and independence. The contrast between the serene sky and the earthy tones accentuates the movement and vitality of the animal, creating a harmonious yet captivating view. The accompanying video showcases the process of creating the painting, starting from initial strokes to final details.

The video begins with a beach walk with the horse, accompanied by my narration: “In each of us lives a desire for freedom and beauty. Let every step on the sand and every stroke of pastel remind us that life is an art, and we are its creators.” These words reflect the main idea of the painting — the pursuit of freedom and beauty, inner strength, and harmony that we find within ourselves and express through creativity.

The horse in the painting is more than just an animal; it symbolizes these aspirations, urging us to live, create, and cherish every moment.
