Dmitry Zemscov

Graduated from the prestigious Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow. He danced professionally with the Moscow City Ballet, the European Ballet, and the Imperial Russian Ballet. As part of the Imperial Russian Ballet, he was trained by Maya Plisetskaya, one of the most famous ballerinas in Russia. Dmitry Zemskov was awarded special prizes at the Mayan International Ballet Competition in St. Petersburg, Russia in May 1996 and at the Mikkeli International Festival in Finland in 1997. In 1998, he received a BFA diploma in choreography and pedagogy from the Russian Academy of Theater Arts.

1999 to 2005
Dmitry Zemskov has been elected to dance with many American ballet companies from Philadelphia to Elena, Montana to Columbia, South Carolina and Las Vegas.

He worked with master teachers Cynthia Gregory, Serge Lavoie, Karena Brock, Arnold Spohr, Anne Marie De Angelo, Peter Anastos, Mark Diamond, Paul Sutherland. In 1999, he was honored with the Golden Pointe Shoe Award from the Columbia City Ballet.

Dmitry Zemskov has taught and coached classical ballet, jazz and has been a partner at the South Carolina Performing Arts Center, Tamalin Dance Center, Northern State Dance Theater, Columbia Dance Conservatory, Philadelphia Dance Conservatory, West Side Academy of the Performing Arts. He was a guest choreographer at the Aiken Civic Ballet.

Dmitry Zemskov starred in the full-length ballet films Don Quixote, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Beauty and the Beast, broadcast by South Carolina Educational Television and # nbsp; toured North Africa, East Asia, South America, Central and Western Europe.
